Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of CodeFlow. By using the site, you agree to them. They're meant to be readable.

1 · Acceptance

By accessing or using CodeFlow (the “Site”), operated by Anoint Tech (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

2 · Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use the Site only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Affiliate-link clicks may direct you to retailers (including Amazon) whose own terms require buyers to be at least 18. Don't click affiliate links if you're under 18 in your jurisdiction.

3 · License to use the Site

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Site for your own learning and reference.

You may:

  • Read every page.
  • Run the Playground in your own browser.
  • Take notes, screenshot a section for personal study.
  • Link to any page from your blog, social media, classroom.

You may not:

  • Republish substantial portions of the lessons or animations as your own.
  • Scrape the Site to feed a competing product or training corpus without permission.
  • Use the Site to harm, harass, or mislead others.
  • Remove or obscure the affiliate-disclosure language on /library.

4 · Intellectual property

All original content on the Site — the lesson text, the SVG animations, the curated reading lists, the visual design — is owned by Anoint Tech and protected by copyright and related rights. The CodeFlow name and any associated logos are trademarks of Anoint Tech.

Code samples shown on the Site are written by us for educational illustration. Where we quote code, names, or excerpts from third-party works, we attribute them inline. Such third-party material remains subject to its original copyright and any applicable licence.

The Site is built with open-source libraries (Next.js, React, framer-motion, Sandpack, Pyodide, etc.) which retain their respective licences.

5 · Affiliate-links disclosure

The /library page contains affiliate links to Amazon Associates and Manning Publications. If you click one of those links and subsequently make a qualifying purchase, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

CodeFlow is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

We pick books because we genuinely think they're good — not because of the commission. We have never accepted payment from a publisher in exchange for a recommendation, and we don't maintain such an arrangement now.

This disclosure is required by the US Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) and corresponding consumer- protection rules in the EU and South Africa.

6 · Educational nature; no professional advice

CodeFlow is an educational reference. Nothing on the Site is professional, legal, financial, medical, or career advice. Software engineering decisions made on the strength of a CodeFlow lesson are your own responsibility.

7 · Warranty disclaimer

The Site, and all content, code, and links on it, are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the Site is at your sole risk.

8 · Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Anoint Tech or any of its officers, employees, or contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the Site.

Our total cumulative liability for any direct damages will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for use of the Site in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to liability (which is zero, since the Site is free) or (b) US$100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law (including, in the EU, liability for personal injury or fraud).

9 · Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Anoint Tech from any third-party claim arising from (a) your misuse of the Site, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your infringement of any third-party right through your use of the Site. This obligation survives termination.

10 · Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason. You may stop using the Site at any time.

On termination, the sections titled “Intellectual property”, “Warranty disclaimer”, “Limitation of liability”, and “Indemnification” survive.

11 · Dispute resolution

Before filing a claim against us, please contact us at anointtech@gmail.com and try to resolve the dispute informally. We commit to negotiating in good faith for at least 30 days.

If we can't resolve it that way, the dispute will be settled in a court of competent jurisdiction, with each party retaining the right to seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. Small-claims actions are exempt from the informal- resolution requirement.

Nothing in this section limits your right under EU consumer-protection law to bring proceedings in your country of residence, or any equivalent right under POPIA or US state law.

12 · Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. The unenforceable provision will be interpreted to give effect, to the greatest extent possible, to its original intent.

13 · Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the site-wide notice banner for at least 30 days before taking effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14 · Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Anoint Tech regarding the Site, and supersede any prior agreement on that subject.
